Relebohile Mofokeng scored on his Belgian Pro League debut for Royale Union SG. The South African attacker struck against Westerlo after coming off the bench.
Mofokeng entered the match with Union SG leading Westerlo 2-1. He needed only four minutes to find the net on his league debut.
The former Orlando Pirates star calmly converted his opportunity. His goal extended Union SG’s advantage to 3-1.
Mofokeng’s arrival follows his impressive start with the Belgian club. He also played a key role in Union SG’s Belgian Super Cup triumph.
Union SG eventually completed a 5-1 victory over Westerlo. Mofokeng’s debut goal therefore formed part of a dominant opening league performance.
The result puts Union SG top of the early Belgian Pro League standings. The club collected three points from its opening league match.
