Paul Pogba, the French midfielder, has completed his 18-month doping suspension and is now eligible to return to professional football as of March 11, 2025. Initially suspended for four years in February 2024 after testing positive for non-endogenous testosterone, Pogba successfully appealed, leading to a reduction in his ban.
Following his suspension, Pogba and Juventus mutually agreed to terminate his contract in November 2024. The 31-year-old has since been training independently, preparing for his return to competitive play. He has expressed interest in joining clubs in the United States and Saudi Arabia, with potential destinations including Inter Miami CF in the MLS and teams in the Saudi Pro League, where compatriots such as N’Golo Kanté and Karim Benzema play.
Pogba’s primary goal is to regain his form and represent France in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. To achieve this, he aims to secure a contract with a European club that will provide the competitive environment necessary to earn a spot on the national team. The Olympique de Marseille has been mentioned as a potential suitor, with discussions about a possible summer transfer.
