Pretoria, March 2025 – President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that the European Union (EU) will invest more than R90 billion in South Africa.
This substantial commitment is aimed at supporting strategic investment projects across key sectors of the South African economy.
The funding is set to boost infrastructure development, create jobs, and enhance sustainable growth, contributing to South Africa’s long-term economic objectives.
The investment underscores the strong and growing partnership between South Africa and the EU, highlighting the EU’s ongoing support for the country’s development and economic transformation.
President Ramaphosa expressed confidence that the partnership will significantly contribute to South Africa’s socio-economic progress, and help unlock new opportunities for growth, innovation, and employment across the nation.
