Sandton, South Africa – Recent reports on Sphamandla Mabonga, a prominent businessman who has been fatally shot at a Sandton nightclub yesterday, reveals that it was not his first time to clash with security guards leading to a shootout at an upmarket nightclub.
According to the reports, In January 2024, Mabonga was involved in a shooting incident at Tempo Luxury Restaurant in Sandton. The altercation began when Mabonga attempted to enter the establishment carrying firearms, leading to a dispute with security personnel.
The situation escalated, resulting in injuries to Mabonga and two staff members. Tempo Restaurant later issued an apology for the incident, expressing regret over the events that unfolded.
These incidents highlight ongoing security challenges in Sandton’s entertainment venues.
