Build One South Africa (BOSA) has terminated the membership of Ayanda Allie, the party’s sole representative in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, following the conclusion of an internal disciplinary process. The decision was announced on Friday by the party’s board after disciplinary proceedings that had been underway for more than a year.
BOSA said the issues leading to the disciplinary process date back to July 2025, when the party first indicated its intention to institute formal proceedings against Allie. According to the party, it spent months attempting to resolve the matter through engagement, consultation and mediation before deciding that an amicable resolution was no longer possible.
The party said Allie was afforded an opportunity to appeal the board’s decision in line with its constitution but chose not to do so. As a result, BOSA said the decision to terminate her membership is final.
BOSA did not disclose the specific reasons behind the disciplinary action, saying it would not comment further out of respect for due process, fairness and the dignity of those involved. The party added that the decision reflects its commitment to ethical leadership, accountability and integrity within its ranks.
The expulsion leaves BOSA without its only representative in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, where Allie had served since the 2024 general election. The party thanked her for her service to both BOSA and the people of Gauteng and wished her well in her future endeavours.
