Gun Used In Seshego Shooting Belongs To Polokwane Mayor

After being fingered as one of the instigators, sources within Limpopo Police have confirmed that the gun that was used in the Juju Valley shooting in Seshego belongs to mayor who is also ANC Peter Mokaba regional chairperson John Mpe.

The incident occurred on 19 May 2024 where members of the ANC and EFF allegedly hit each other with stones and several gun shots were fired, leaving a 9-year-old child and a 25-year-old man wounded during an election campaign.

John Mpe, the executive mayor of Polokwane Municipality in Limpopo is the subject of a police investigation relating to this violent shoot-out that flared up in this township named after EFF leader Julius Malema.

The NPA are expected to make charges on the case.
